Approaching one of the most dangerous days on the road, New Year’s Eve, AT&T today announced the release of a powerful new documentary featuring stories from individuals whose lives have been altered by texting while driving.
I’ve already shared this video with several of my friends and I thought everyone here should watch it too.
There is no way I can sit here and tell you I have never texted while driving, but it’s videos like this that really hit home and show you how stupid it is. Google Maps Navigation is the most useful GPS software I have ever used, but it is also the most dangerous (I guess that’s why they still call it beta). Thanks to Google’s excellent notifications system, you are constantly bombarded with text messages, email alerts, Tweets, and Facebook updates while you are driving.
What do you think Google could do to help with the texting and driving problem?
